Support an Appeal

We are very lucky that so many people recognise the value of the work being undertaken by the BTO and its volunteers. Our appeals help to fund important research and projects and highlight the plight of many of our bird species.

Please click on the picture links below to see details about our current Appeals and how you can help.

The Out of Africa Appeal
The decline in numbers of many of our African migrants species is worrying. Species like the Wood Warbler and Pied Flycatchers have undergone declines of 60%. The 'Out of Africa' Appeal will fund international work and collabarations to find out what is happening to many much loved species.

BTO in Wales
We would like to open an office in Wales to provide better support for our members and volunteers in Wales and the west of Britain. We will also be able to work more closely with conservation bodies and decision-makers on the specific pressures affecting these areas and the key habitats within them.

The Atlas Appeal
The BTO's biggest challenge yet! We need your help, both out in the field counting birds and in gaining the financial support necessary to organise the work, analyse the results and produce the final atlas. This will show how birds have been afffected by the changing habitats and climates over the last few decades.

Thank you very much for your support!
