Using BBS-Online
You can enter your BBS data electronically on BBS-Online. As well
as being an easy way to enter your data, using the online system
reduces errors and makes processing data more efficient.
Your notes can be entered directly from your Field Recording Sheets,
and you do not have to summarise any counts – the system will
add together counts automatically.
You can enter, and edit, bird, habitat, mammal and colony data
online, and you can view all data submitted for your square (including
by previous observers).
You can log in using the same username and password as for other
BTO online surveys (e.g. BirdTrack or Bird Atlas 2007-11), but you
will not be able to log in if you have not been set up on BBS-Online,
OR if you have not registered a BTO user name and password. See

"I survey a BBS square,
and have previously sent in data on paper forms, but I don't
know my BTO user name and password"
Anyone
who has sent in data on paper will automatically be set up on
BBS-Online. However, if you haven't used any BTO online surveys
before (e.g. BirdTrack), you will need to register a password
- click here to register). NB: you will need to enter the same
name and address details as we have on the BBS system. |
"I have been allocated
a BBS square for this year, but I don't know my BTO user name
and password"
You should be set up on
BBS-Online, but if you haven't used any BTO online surveys before

name and password, but I still can't log in"
If you have a BBS square, and have set up a BTO user name
and password, but are still unable to log in, you have not yet
been set up on BBS-Online. To get set up, please email bbs@bto.org
with your name, address, and your allocated square. |
