Getting Involved Talks

We can offer speakers to give a talk to your club or group about how simple and worthwhile it is to record birds. The following subjects are all possible, or please ask if you feel a slightly different mix of subjects would work best for your group:

• Getting started in recording birds (any combination of Bird Atlas, BirdTrack, Garden BirdWatch and Nest Record Scheme).
• Recording upland birds (for hillwalkers/outdoor enthusiasts).
• Bird surveys from your back garden (for gardeners/beginners).
• Helping to put Britain’s Birds on the Map: Bird Atlas 2007-11.
• Bird recording for landowners and land managers.
• Helping to keep track of Britain’s birds (this talk can be tailored to your needs and interests and combine any of the following surveys: Breeding Bird Survey, BirdTrack, Nest Record Scheme, Wetland Bird Survey, Bird Atlas).
